Helping Students Emerge in Faith, Leadership, and Love

EMERGE is the youth ministry for students in 8th–12th grade. Our mission is to help teenagers discover their identity in Christ, develop deep faith, and emerge as leaders who serve God and others with courage and compassion.

At Emerge, students experience a community where faith comes alive through:
Relevant Bible Teaching and Open Discussion
Friendship and Fellowship that Lasts a Lifetime
Goofy Games, Service Projects, and Special Events
Memorable Trips and Outrageous Outings
Worship and Prayer that Strengthen the Soul

WHEN WE MEET: All High School Students (8th-12th Grades) are welcome! Bring a friend and see what Emerge is all about!
📅 WEDNESDAY NIGHTS @ 5:30 PM: A FREE SUPPER is served (5:30-6:00 PM) followed by BIBLE STUDY and GAMES.

📅 SUNDAY MORNINGS @ 9:00 AM: Students gather with gifted teachers and leaders to study the Bible on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am. A free breakfast is served weekly!

CATALYST MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM
6th-7th Grade Students

Welcome to CATALYST, the middle school ministry for 6th and 7th graders at West Side Baptist Church. CATALYST is a safe, fun, and faith-filled place where early adolescents connect with God, grow in community, and discover how their gifts can spark change in the world.

Who We Are: CATALYST is for students in 6th and 7th grade. We’re a group of curious, energetic middle schoolers who meet to worship, play games, study Scripture in age-appropriate ways, and serve our community together. OUR FOCUS: relationship with Jesus, healthy friendships, spiritual formation, and practical faith in action.

SPECIAL EVENTS: Lock-ins, service projects, seasonal outings (skating, camping, local mission days), and joint events with our high school group. Note: Check the church calendar for exact dates and any schedule changes.

SHIVELY FAMILY PUMPKIN PATCH

Kids & Youth of All Ages (EMERGE and Catalyst) are invited on this Fall Trip to Shively’s Farm and Pumpkin Patch – all ages welcome! -FUN TRIP TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH – Kids and Youth are invited on a fun outing to Shively Farms on Sunday, October 5, 1-3 PM. Ride the Church Van (departing WSBC at 1:00 PM) or meet us around 1:30 PM at the Shively Pumpkin Patch, 5840 SE Croco Rd, Berryton, KS 66409 –

Our talented EMERGE Youth are back in the kitchen, and they’re baking up a storm to raise funds for upcoming youth activities and mission projects!
