MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE to the LORD!
Music is an important part of worship at West Side Baptist Church. Whether you sing, ring, play an instrument, or simply love making a joyful noise, there’s a place for you in the WSBC Music Ministry!
Our music ministries provide opportunities to share our gifts, grow together, and help lead our congregation in worship. You don’t have to be a professional musician—just be willing to participate, learn, and have fun making music together!
🎶 Chancel Choir: Sing Unto the Lord a New Song…!
The WSBC Chancel Choir leads our congregation in song and offers special music throughout the year. The choir also prepares special music for the Christmas and Easter seasons and other holiday celebrations.
The Chancel Choir practices periodically on Wednesday evenings as needed to prepare for upcoming Holiday Specials and worship opportunities.
Whether you have years of choir experience or simply enjoy singing, we’d love to have you join us!
WSBC Handbell Choir: Join the choir that’s really ringings!🔔
The WSBC Handbell Choir is a new music ministry at West Side Baptist Church, using handbells to create beautiful, joyful, and expressive music for worship and special occasions.
No musical or handbell experience is required! All you need is a willingness to learn, practice, and make music together. Whether you’ve played handbells before or have never picked one up, you are welcome to join us.
PRACTICES: Wednesdays at 7:05 PM

Come discover the joy of ringing together and sharing the gift of music with our church family.
🎸 Worship Team: Your gift. Your instrument. Your voice. No auditions!
Do you play an instrument? Sing? Have a gift for helping lead others in worship?
The WSBC Worship Team is an informal group of musicians who help lead worship through contemporary and traditional music on Sunday mornings. Bring your instrument and join us!
Rehearsal: Saturdays at 1:30 PM
The Worship Team works together to prepare music for Sunday worship and welcomes musicians who want to use their gifts to serve God and our church family.
TECH TEAM: Behind the scenes, helping worship come alive!
Not everyone leads worship from the platform. Some of the most important ministry happens behind the scenes!
The WSBC Tech Team helps create a smooth, engaging worship experience by serving with the audio and visual technology that supports Sunday worship and special events.
You don’t need to be a technology expert to join. If you’re willing to learn, we’ll help you learn!
You Can Serve Behind the Scenes
Whether you already enjoy technology or simply want to learn something new, there’s a place for you on the Tech Team.
- 🎛️ Backstage: Help coordinate what happens behind the scenes—supporting worship leaders, musicians, speakers, and the Tech Team so everything comes together smoothly.
- 📹 Camera: Run the cameras and capture the worship service for those watching online or participating from a distance.
- 🖥️ Projection: Help display worship slides, Scripture, announcements, videos, and other visual elements that help the congregation participate. No previous experience needed…We’ll train you!
- 🔊 Sound: Help operate the sound system, balance microphones and music, and make sure everyone can hear what’s happening during worship. No previous experience needed…We’ll train you!
No experience? No problem! We’ll provide training and help you find the area that fits your interests and gifts.
Plug in. Learn something new. Serve behind the scenes. Help create an engaging worship experience for everyone.
All are welcome. Come make a joyful noise with us!
