THE RESURRECTION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT IN HUMAN HISTORY:
GOD DID THE IMPOSSIBLE!

“The resurrection of Christ is one of
the foundation stones of Christianity.”

Christians celebrate Easter because it is the most important event in human history. We believe Jesus DIED, He is RISEN, and He will COME AGAIN! It’s not a myth, fancy story, or a lie children are made to believe.

God promised to send a Messiah (Anointed Savior),
and God kept the promise: JESUS.
God promised the Messiah (Anointed Savior) would suffer and die,
and God did: JESUS.
God promised to raise the Messiah (Anointed Savior) from the dead,
and God did: JESUS.

We remember God’s promises, which give us HOPE that God will keep the promises of forgiveness, unconditional love, and life after death for all who trust Him with an undying love. LEARN MORE at https://www.christianity.com/wiki/holidays/why-do-we-celebrate-easter.html.

HOLY WEEK SERVICES | MARCH 29 – APRIL 4 2026

PALM SUNDAY &
THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
MARCH 29 @ 10:30 AM

Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week – commemorating Jesus’ final week and work in Jerusalem. Christians remember Jesus’ Triumphal Entry (Parade) into Jerusalem as the Jewish Messiah.

We will also rejoice and exalt the Lord with palm branches and a Passion Parade to Potwin Presbyterian Church at 9:45 AM (all ages welcome). We’ll return for our celebration service at 10:30 AM. Join us as we shout:

“Hosannah! Hosannah in the Highest! Blessed is He Who Comes in the Name of the Lord!”

MAUNDY THURSDAY HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE
APRIL 1 @ 6:00 PM

Maundy means command when Jesus commanded his disciples to wash one another’s feet. Christians believe this to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover (“The Last Supper”) with His disciples.

We will remember Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples before his prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane, the betrayal, and his arrest. The Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion will be open to all persons who love Jesus Christ.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE
THE LAST WORDS OF CHRIST

For Christians, GOOD FRIDAY is one of the most important holy days of the year. On this somber day, we remember Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, torture, suffering, sacrifice and crucifixion on the cross of Calvary.

We will gather for a service of scripture reading and quiet reflection. All are welcome.  Please wear black or mourning clothes.

EASTER IS NOT OVER!

As far as we know, the New Testament church did not celebrate Easter once a year. They celebrated it every week; on the first day of the week to be exact.

Every Sunday, they gathered to commemorate Christ’s resurrection; so much so that they even renamed it, “the Lord’s Day.”
