It is with deep sadness we share the news of the passing of our dearest friend, Donald “Don” Johnson. He transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Friday, February 21, 2025
The church family is planning a Memorial Service on Friday, March 7, at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary of West Side Baptist Church. No luncheon. All are welcome!
Don found his church home at West Side Baptist Church, where he served for 50 years. During his time, he served as the Deacon of worship, coordinator of missions, the adult Sunday school teacher, lay preacher, cross-cultural mission leader, and evangelist. He visited shut-ins and homebound members. He also was a greeter and a great friend to many.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
